Product Description: Origin: Koshihikari was developed in Fukui Prefecture, Japan in 1956, and began full-scale cultivation after being designated as recommended varieties in Niigata and Chiba prefectures. The origin of the name Koshihikari comes from the ancient names of the Hokuriku region of Japan, namely Fukui and Niigata prefectures.
Growing Conditions: There are three main conditions for growing delicious Koshihikari. This is an environment with fertile land, natural water containing minerals, and a large temperature difference between morning and night. China's Koshihikari is grown on the fertile and polluted land of Northeast China, producing Koshihikari of the same quality as Japan's. Koshihikari grown in the east port of Dandong, Liaoning Province, which is the same latitude as Niigata Prefecture, is said to be of the highest quality.
